This is the first KOTA HF Contest, you can use SSB, CW, AM, FT8/FT4, and text digital modes. The point of the contest is to get youth under 21 on the air and making alot of contacts!

This contest is taking place November 27th 12 AM EST through November 30th 11:59 PM EST, you can operate as long as you would like.

1st place overall winner:

• Printed Certificate
• 3D Printed KOTA Medallion
• Announced on the website and discord role
• A choice between: Baofeng, Hamspot Hotspot, 3 pack of Signal Brew specialty coffee.

2nd place overall winner & SSB 1st place winner:

• Printable certification
• Announced on the website and discord role

Rules:

• Only people under the age of 21 are allowed to participate!
• 100 watts max!
• HF bands only! 160-6 meters.
• Simplex contacts only!
• Only these modes are allowed: SSB, AM, CW, FT8/FT4, and text-based digital modes using PSK technology(JS8Call, RTTY, VARA, etc)
• No cheating, we will not tolerate people cheating or any type of slight changes to boost their points. If we see anything suspicious you will be disqualified.
• Use our logbook contest.kidsontheair.net, you cannot submit logs any other way.
